Last updated: 3 November 2026
Scope of the Policy and Covered Services
This Payment and Refund Policy applies to all purchases of courses, digital resources and related educational materials offered through audienzo. The site provides an informative resource dedicated to audiovisual production excellence, including broadcast studio design, camera control systems, professional lighting arrangements, sound engineering and streamlined workflows for television networks and live events. It covers both one-time course purchases and any subscription-based access to the full library of materials. The policy does not apply to third-party products or services linked from the site.
Prices, Currencies, Taxes and Additional Charges
All prices are displayed in British Pounds Sterling (GBP). Value Added Tax (VAT) at the prevailing UK rate is included where applicable. No additional charges apply beyond the stated price unless expressly notified at checkout for optional extras such as extended access periods. Currency conversion fees may be levied by the customer’s payment provider if a non-GBP card is used.
Accepted Payment Methods, Authorisation and Security
We accept major credit and debit cards, PayPal and bank transfers. Payment is authorised at the time of order placement. All transactions are processed through secure, PCI-DSS compliant gateways. audienzo does not store full card details. Authorisation may be declined for suspected fraud or insufficient funds; in such cases the order will not proceed.
Order Confirmation and Contract Formation
A contract is formed when we send an order confirmation email following successful payment. This email contains the course access details and a summary of the purchase. Until this confirmation is received the order remains subject to acceptance by audienzo.
Cancellation Rights and Applicable Periods
Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, UK consumers have a 14-day cooling-off period from the date of purchase during which they may cancel without giving a reason. The right to cancel ends earlier if the customer begins downloading or streaming digital content.
Refund Eligibility, Exclusions and Non-Refundable Items
Refunds are available within the cooling-off period provided no substantial portion of the course has been accessed. Once a course has been downloaded or more than 50 percent of the video modules have been viewed, the purchase becomes non-refundable. Promotional or discounted bundles may have specific exclusions stated at the time of sale.
Step-by-Step Procedure to Request a Refund
To request a refund, contact enquiries@academyoflivetechnology.co.uk or 01977 659880 within the applicable period. Provide the order number, full name, email address used for purchase and a brief reason. Requests submitted via the contact form on the Contacts page are also accepted. Incomplete requests may delay processing.
Inspection, Approval, Rejection and Notification
Each refund request is reviewed within five working days. We assess access logs to confirm eligibility. Customers receive written notification of the decision by email. If rejected, the email explains the reason and any remaining options.
Refund Method, Processing Time and Receipt of Funds
Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method. Credit or debit card refunds typically appear within five to ten working days. PayPal refunds are usually processed within two working days. Bank transfers may take up to seven working days depending on the receiving bank.
Special Rules for Digital Content, Subscriptions and Promotional Offers
Digital course content is supplied immediately upon purchase. By proceeding, the customer expressly agrees that the 14-day cancellation right ends upon commencement of download or streaming. Subscription renewals are charged automatically unless cancelled at least 48 hours before the renewal date. Promotional offers are subject to the same rules unless different terms are clearly displayed at purchase.
Failed Payments, Duplicate Charges, Chargebacks and Suspected Fraud
Failed payments must be resolved within seven days or the order will be cancelled. Duplicate charges detected by our system are automatically refunded. Customers who initiate a chargeback without first contacting us may have future purchases restricted. Suspected fraudulent activity leads to immediate order cancellation and reporting to relevant authorities where required.
Mandatory Consumer Rights That Cannot Be Excluded
Nothing in this policy affects the customer’s statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 or UK GDPR. These rights include remedies for faulty digital content and the right to cancel within the cooling-off period where applicable.
